A few examples of where the Northumbrian
landscape has been changed forever.....
Rose Cottage
Briarlea
Originally a one bed roomed cottage built in the 18th century Rose Cottage based
in Longhoughton was totally re-designed and recreated into a four bed roomed
Northumbrian dream home.
Accommodation now includes a large kitchen/diner complete with Aga and
traditional style kitchen units, spacious lounge with stone fireplace and log
burning stove, charming dining room complete with period
stone fireplace. One of our favorites!
A new build of over 2200 sq/ft offering generous living with four bedrooms,
three reception rooms, bespoke kitchen with gas AGA and three bathrooms. Crafted
in natural stone in a course and random laying style and complimented with aged
Welsh slate.
Wildwood
Budle Barn
A luxurious new build set in the heart of the Northumbrian countryside
and boasting five bedrooms, hand made kitchen with oil AGA, attic art room,
three reception rooms, kids room and four bathrooms. Crafted in random reclaimed
natural stone and roofed in aged Welsh slate.
This spectacular 3,800 sq/ft five bed roomed barn re-build is a typical Stone
Homes creation. Jam packed with character and charm on the interior with the
exterior crafted in reclaimed natural stone, the huge roof then finished in aged
Welsh slate ensuring Budle Barn looks like it was built a century ago.
The picturesque village of Longhoughton near Alnwick is where you will find the
traditionally designed and stone built four bed roomed Juniper House.
At just over 3000 sq/ft this is a large home of immense character and charm
providing ample living space for a family of any size.
Built entirely of reclaimed Northumberland
stone and roofed in aged Welsh slate Juniper is built in conventional methods as
in times gone by. Almost like starting again with a blank canvass Juniper House is a new build
designed to look as if it had been standing for years yet boasting all possible
modern conveniences.
Now complete the Old Forge in Longhoughton was quite a challenge.
This is a total renovation of an old Blacksmiths building which is over 200
years new.
Balancing old with new is always a very
difficult process but the finished article now stands as living proof of how you
can successfully breathe life back into an old ruin without ripping out the
heart and removing the personality which is the very essence of the building.
